He began at the Adelaide News and went on to newspapers in Sydney and London, before returning to his hometown to start the influential Southlight Photo Agency co-operative. Milton is a past national president of Australian Commercial and Media Photographers and is a fellow and master photographer with the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers. He shoots mostly on location. Adelaide is Milton\u2019s village \u2013 he lives and works not far from the celebrated Central Market. * Milton shoots on a Nikon. He has done so for more than 40 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Philip White<\/strong>\u00a0has been a thirsty writer since the age of five. Early on, he managed to marry careers in geology, journalism and wine. After a stint in television news, Philip became managing editor of <em>Winestate<\/em>, followed by <em>Wine and Spirit Buying Guide<\/em>. Max Schubert became his close friend and mentor. Philip was wine critic at the Adelaide <em>Advertiser<\/em> for 20 years, and has written for many of Australia\u2019s major papers. He lives in McLaren Vale, writes wine online for InDaily, and runs <em>DRINKSTER<\/em>, a blog recommended by <em>The Wall Street Journal<\/em>, <em>The New York Times<\/em> and <em>The Guardian<\/em>. Recently in <em>The Weekend Australian<\/em>, Max Allen called Philip \u201cAustralian wine\u2019s Kerouac, Hemingway and de Montaigne rolled into one\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John Nowland<\/strong> has more than 35 years\u2019 experience in the design industry. He manages client identity, publications, packaging and architectural, sign and interpretive graphics. Among his clients have been wineries small, medium and big, not least Penfolds. John likes working directly with the winemaking team. He has won numerous Australian awards, while his projects have appeared in major design publications around the world, including Switzerland, Japan, the US and Germany. David Banbury has been sought out to edit a diverse range\u00a0of projects, both in Adelaide and interstate. From television series (Neighbours, Bony,\u00a0Beyond 2000, My Restaurant Rules, Croc College); to documentary (The Cause of\u00a0Mary MacKillop, Sacred Journey, Ayen\u2019s Cooking School for African Men, Buckskin).\u00a0David has edited award winning drama short films (Love from Guy, Moustache) and\u00a0the feature documentary Damn Right I\u2019m a Cowboy which premiered at the 2003\u00a0Adelaide International Film Festival.\u00a0Invited to teach editing at the Australian Film TV and Radio School in 1997 David\u00a0continued on there as screen studies lecturer in 1998. He is equally at home in\u00a0traditional editing roles, post production supervision (Pigs Breakfast, Above the Law)\u00a0and modular DVD authoring and editing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Atkins Technicolour.<\/strong>\u00a0Atkins has been making prints for Adelaidians since the 1930s, the company is still family run and employs some of the most talented imaging professionals in Australia. Atkins&#8217; printing has won countless awards for their customers, and has had works collected by institutions from the National Gallery in Canberra to prolific collectors such as Elton John. Atkins&#8217; fine art printing department is headed up by David Hobbs, who has over 20 years in the print industry. David is responsible for the limited edition prints that support this book, and has worked closely with Milton through the process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kathy\u00a0Timotheou &#8211;\u00a0Finished Art.<\/strong>\u00a0Katherine Timotheou\u2019s graphic design and typography career began over 25 years ago. After completing her degree in graphic design she started out in an Adelaide design studio. Her passion for typography soon saw her head to Switzerland to further study at the prestigious Kunstgewerbe Schule in Switzerland. On returning to Adelaide, Kathy established her own graphic design practice and quickly became a sought after freelancer for leading design houses. A respected member of ADGA who is ever dedicated to progressing her craft, Kathy has lectured in both graphic design and typography at TAFE and University.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John Nieddu\u00a0&#8211; Image prep and retouching.<\/strong>\u00a0John Nieddu undertook the Advanced Diploma of Photography (Commercial) in 2007; he graduated in 2009, winning the prestigious Canon Student of the Year Award. Trading under John Nieddu Photography, his wide range of photographic and post-production skills has led him building relationships with a diverse group of clients, both big and small. His client list includes Local Governments, working on editorial &amp; community based projects. \u00a0His commissions have also been exhibited in Community Exhibitions, Facing the Community (City Norwood Payneham &amp; St Peters) and Portraits of Port Adelaide (Port Festival, City of Port Adelaide Enfield). John has done all of Milton\u2019s retouch for over 5 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sally Marden &#8211; Editor.<\/strong> Sally has been a journalist and writer for nearly 30 years, since joining her local newspaper in England straight from high school. In 1992, she joined a national UK drinks trade weekly, and began writing about the joy and business of wine, spirits and beers. She has since written for a wide range of national and international wine magazines and newspapers, including Decanter and Australian Gourmet Traveller Wine, presented on TV and radio in the UK, and contributed to many wine books. She moved to South Australia in 1998 to work with the Barossa Winemakers for several years, before moving with her winemaker husband to WA and then, more recently, northern New Zealand, where she currently works on diverse writing and editing projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Simon Perrin &#8211; Website design and development.<\/strong>\u00a0After gaining 8 years experience in the design industry as a graphic designer, Simon established his own studio in 2007. Since then, he has worked with both Australian and overseas clients across varying industries.
