Fathers Day Special Offer in support of ‘International Prostate Awareness Month’
I have had a long association with Karyn Foster the South Australian Manager of Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia PCFA. We have worked together on a number of events including the launch of ‘The Grange Book’ where we raise over $1200.
In support of ‘International Prostate Awareness Month’ we are having a special offer for Father’s Day. Our book ‘A year in the life of Grange’ will be available from a select group of Fine Wine and Book shops and the PCFA web site: http://www.prostate.org.au/articleLive/pages/A-Year-in-the-Life-of-Grange.html until the end of September for $600 a saving of $185 of the RRP. Part proceeds to go to PCFA.
I believe PCFA to be a very worthwhile cause. Prostate cancer is often poorly understood and many men want to ignore it, but it is the most common cancer diagnosed amongst men in Australia. More men die of prostate cancer than women die of breast cancer. Men in rural and regional Australia have a 21% higher prostate cancer mortality rate than men in capital cities. Last year it was estimated that almost 20,000 Australian men were diagnosed with prostate cancer. Tragically, more than 3,300 lost their life to this disease. One in Australia man dies every three hours…
